The 2012-2013 school year marks the thirtieth year in education for Glenwood High School Principal, Jim Lee. Mr. Lee began his educational career in 1983 at the former Winola Junior High School as a science teacher. Since that time, he has taught various levels of science from grades seven to twelve. Mr. Lee has also coached numerous sports throughout his career.
Mr. Lee received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Since 2002, he has served as principal at both the junior high and high school levels. At Glenwood, Mr. Lee is responsible for general building operations, as well as all instructional and curricular components of the school.
Mr. Lee’s family includes his wife of thirty years, Linda, & three sons, Nick, Quincy, & Corey.

Associate Principal Chris Becker
|
Mr. Chris Becker begins his 4th year as Associate Principal after spending two years as an Assistant Principal at Glenwood High School. He was previously the Athletic Director/Assistant Principal at Glenwood Middle School from 2005-2007. From 1997-2005, he taught in the Riverton School District as a 6th grade teacher, high school history teacher, and a pre-K assistant. He also coached a variety of sports including volleyball, track, basketball and football. Chris is originally from the Chicago suburbs.
Chris’ educational background includes a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois-Springfield and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois College. He is married and has three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys reading, trivia, sports, exercising, and spending time with family. He also enjoys walleye fishing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and closely follows Chicago sports teams, with great interest in the Cubs and Bears. Mr. Becker is responsible for directing curriculum and instruction as well as overseeing the Guidance and Special Education departments at Glenwood High School.

Mr. David Hay was born and raised in Kincaid, Illinois, where he graduated from South Fork High School in 1988. He attended college at Lincoln Land Community College and Illinois State University, graduating in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. David began coaching football in 1992 at South Fork and served as a substitute teacher for two years while completing teacher certification courses at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
David began working at Glenwood High School in 1994 serving as a social studies teacher and Varsity Assistant Football Coach, which he continues today. From 2002 until 2004, David served as the Principal of the Sangamon County Learning Academy, the alternative high school serving Sangamon County schools. In the fall of 2004, David returned to GHS as an Assistant Principal handling attendance and discipline issues for two grade levels.

Athletic Director Dan Rourke

Mr. Dan Rourke graduated in 1980 from Eureka College and began teaching that year in Wylie, Texas. He moved to Plano, Texas in 1984 to teach World History and coach football at Plano East Senior High School.
In 1991, he received his Master’s degree in Education Administration from Texas A & M. In 1993, he moved to Chatham, where he has worked at Glenwood High School in the capacity of Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.
Dan and his wife, Julie, are the parents of four children - Amy, Chris, Ali and Jake.

Mr. Kevin Moore has been with the Ball-Chatham School District six years. He is beginning his 20th year in education.
Kevin came to Ball-Chatham from Effingham High School where he taught science and coached football and basketball. He served as Assistant Principal at Glenwood Middle School for five years and is currently in his second year as Assistant Principal at Glenwood High School. Kevin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and earned his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University. He continues to learn completed his Superintendent’s endorsement in May of 2012 from Eastern Illinois University. Kevin is married and enjoys golfing, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
