How can I report my student’s absence?
Call the attendance hot line at 483-2424 ext. 8 before 9:00 am to report absence, student’s being late or leaving early for an appointment. Otherwise, call the school directly as soon as possible.

Can I request homework for my child?
Yes, homework requests can be made by calling the school office directly when your student has missed 2 or more consecutive days of school. You can go to the GHS website anytime, click on the teacher webpage to inquire about homework.

My student sent me a message stating they are sick, can I come get them?
Yes, after your student has reported to the nurse before going home. Call 483-2424 ext. 6 to speak with the nurse, Teresa Elmore. The nurse will also handle all school physicals, sports physicals and students on medical P.E.

Who would I speak to about my student’s extended medical condition?
GHS nurse will help you will all your medical needs at 483-2424 ext. 6.

We will be taking a vacation during school time. What steps do I need to take?
Please have your student pick-up a pre-arranged absence form from Office 1, as soon as possible to be approved by the Administration. We do encourage parents/guardians plan vacations during non-attendance day.

My student is having a problem with bus times who do I contact?
Please call the Transportation Office at 483-6098 for ALL bus inquiries. 

I have questions in regards to class rings and graduation information, who do I call?
Jostens’s handles all GHS class rings, graduation caps and gowns as well as graduation announcements. Their number is 483-8989. 

If I have other questions regarding graduation, who do I call at GHS?
Lisa Chase, Principal’s Secretary, will help answer your questions. Please call her at 483-2424 ext. 42.

I need to speak with my student’s Assistant Principal, what number do I call?
You can reach the Assistant Principal’s in Office 2 at 483-2424 ext. 73.

Who do I contact to ask questions about a discipline issue?
You would need to contact Office 2 at 483-2424 ext. 73. 

Who do I call about my student’s schedule or needing a transcript?
GHS Guidance Department will answer those questions at 483-2424 ext. 30 

I need to speak with the Administrator in the Guidance Department. What is their number? 
You can reach the Associate Principal, Chris Becker, at 483-2424 ext. 3

I have inquiries about Colleges, who do I contact?
GHS College Placement Coordinator Nada Broderick will answer your questions at 483-2424 ext. 35.

What is the number for all Athletic questions or possible cancelled athletic events?
Please call the Athletic Department at 483-2424 ext. 5 and speak with Kim Midden.

What is the best way to contact my student’s teacher?
You may contact them by email or leave a message on their voice mail. Call 483-2424 ext. 9 for their voice mail or go to the GHS web site for their email address. Please understand that teachers check their voice mail or email between the hours of 7:30 am-3:10 pm.
